Adverse weather prevents HVAC technicians from going on calls
When the HEAT is on!
Weather conditions play a crucial role in the safety, accuracy, and efficiency of inspections and installations. Heat is one factor that affects technicians and prevents him/her from carrying out a quality service. Working in attics where temperatures exceed 85-90 degrees, can be torturous for anyone. It can cause lightheadedness, heat exhaustion, and heatstroke. Working on rooftops also poses similar issues, which can further impact a technician’s safety.
High winds will delay your scheduled appointment.
On windy days, the strong gusts can affect the accuracy of airflow measurements during an HVAC inspection. Technicians need to consider wind direction and speed to ensure proper ventilation and system performance. Severe windy conditions can cause flying debris, and falling trees, and endanger technicians. If the conditions are too bad we will reschedule your appointment to the next available time.
Rainy days are a big “No, no” unless it’s an inside job!
Rainy weather can pose unique challenges during HVAC inspections and installations. Technicians need to be extra cautious to prevent water damage to the system and ensure all electrical components are properly protected. There is also the added concern of electrocution! When the weather becomes too dangerous for our technicians, all outdoor calls will be rescheduled. The safety of our technicians is paramount.
The chill can affect the will.
Technicians are willing to work in most conditions. There are, however, exceptions to the rule. Low temperatures can affect the functionality of tools and equipment. This makes it difficult to get the job done.
When the thunder rolls.
When thunder roars and lightning strikes, it’s time for technicians to take cover. Working outdoors in a thunderstorm exposes technicians to unnecessary danger. Heavy rain and strong winds can also make the work environment hazardous, potentially leading to accidents or injuries. Power outages can also cause major disruptions, knocking out the power which will bring any HVAC job to a halt.
